How did you manage to get the windows 95 installer to let you install it from the drive the install files were on? Did you partition the card? In the past ive tried, possibly incorrectly, to do the same, with no luck, the installer said that it cant install to the same drive the installation files are located

A friend of mine recently gave me an old Asus Transformer T100 tablet with a removable keyboard, it's running windows 8 and I can see exactly what Windows 8 was going for BUT...... Back in 2013 I bought a Asus G46VW 'Gaming' laptop that was running windows 8, no touch screen... it was utter crap, the worst 'non touch' device OS.... I think Microsoft gets so deep into an idea they don't stop to think about their main customer base(see Windows 11 for more information). P.S. Great video as always!!

I bought this phone 3 times, last was n95 8gb version.

The first time I used window 8.1 was on a Nokia lumia 630 it ran like butter on that phone to me it's one of the most underrated window versions because it felt futuristic it had it's bad sides but I feel like if they given it more time and optimize it then it would have been one of greatest window operating systems

I wonder how well it could handle ReactOS or EmuELEC. If I had one, I think I'd updrade the SSD, and dual boot XP or 7 for playing old games, and Debian + XFCE for going online.

It may be the only Nokia phone and N-series Nokia phones which impresssed me in past. No offense to Nokia fans

I've got one of these in my closet! Haven't used it for a decade and the screen has many bad pixels but it's still there! I once used it as a standby pocket device for checking warehouse product stock on a sales floor.

My knack for nokia qwerty E72's schooled me first in the portable versitile mono sound recorder bringing me archived sound files in a very suitable "life collectiin sound bites" from cirka 2010 onwards to today.. I still use them and mainly carry one or similar nokia options with good enough sound quality of the sound recorder.. Lately another "app" of this era nokias where the "active notes" witch sadly disapeared on most of the touch screen nokias comming onto the scene.. I use the "active notes" as a diary collector of the mode "a picture talks more then a thousand words" and gather the pictures as "add new" and choose image and snap a photo and place it in the active note.. It is a neat program basically being a "web html reader" to pack the folder of the chosen active note you operate.. Thus i name 'en as a date (yyyymmdd +weekday-name) and have the phone in a belt clip carrying it around just anywhere.. The ability to record sound recording for up to 60 minutes in decent mp3-format with a nice compressor function smothing out highs and lows as the decent 5 mp camera and the qwerty keyboard for fast typing is pretty stellar.. Old school but few "smart phones" have these great "symbian apps" as sadly the symbian anna/bell lost out on and well yeah.. Yada yada.. That's that..

I really liked Windows 8 controversial lol. It shines with a touch device like a tablet, but indeed for most desktop PCs without touch screens etc, it's not a great idea to replace the desktop with the tiles as the main focus. With a modern windows tablet, you cant get the old tiled display which is disappointing.

Maybe throw every OS you can think of at it and see which one works best on on the quirky thing.

You could use this device as Thin client and connect using Parsec (filehost has the old 32 bit version)

I'd say this one would be good if you install XFCE desktop environment instead.

Fair device I guess and changes made woth some fair results of testing hardware and OS or seems similar to Pocket PCs or others of the time (not used just other videos seen of them). With 3.1 Tablet, XP Tablet or Win 8 makes sense I guess stylus or finger screens. Used Windows 8 and 8.1 and honestly the corners and tiles were possible to get used to. To me it's no different to how confusing swipes are at first on iPhones and I know as I hate the gestures on Android and use buttons. But I found it made sense on 8 and 8.1 brings it closer to still 7/10 usable really besides the 8 differences being minor. Yeah 8+ are very much Windows 7 onwards in a build or kernel or so I forgot is 6.3 or something so basically Windows 7 onwards similar in many areas. 11 I don't know but with how Windoes 10 like it is but worse not surprised how much hasn't changed just worse in other areas but the xore is the same. 8 I think has some drivers still work as far as XP or 7 was the cut off I forget and yes 8.1 fixed quality of life and Start button so don't think 8 is the only option 8.1 is ideal. Oh screen size requirements huh didn't know that. Interesting. Banished is a fair game, it has its issues and ok state of finished but still. Last I remember at least. Yeah ARM is a bit of a thing at the time of power from what I remember at the time of power limits. Surface RT was store apps only on ARM while Pro was x86. Yeah Android x86 a cool project yet I couldn't get it to work on older versions only later ones. At least in Virtual Box. No idea of low end or touch capable Linux OS. Woth a keyboard ans mosue irs possible for sure but yeah odd it really needed that for thr BIOS. Yeah I don't mind early flat design ven if I prefer and fins the more Frutiger Aero better yet those were visually interesting on old hardware yet we have flat and simplified art and pushed hardware these days always makes me laugh. Flat and simple yet ugly, and devices still run terribly. Sigh. I prefer this old flat then I do current flat being much worse and even more dull. At least early flat I can appreciate the icons and live tiles while current is just horrible and boring qhiwl to me just as confusing or replicated everywhere while woth Aero era you got variety and distinct icons. Even XMB is better then current it's more interesting and power user fair but still flat not flat and ugly of other OS streaming services or Windows. Then again PS5 eh PS4 and older for sure folders and better navigation and also less ad sucking data as an Xbox or sometimes PS4 but more so PS5. Ah old devices better design, better programming and less milking customers or internet abuse. I still have my 8.1 install disk and might put it on a Toshiba N500 or Haiku OS/Linux as it has Windows 10 Pro (company put it on there for some reason then just BIOS or Win 10 other versions) and it runs hmm. Different then Acer Aspire Netbooks of 2014/2015 I used for study. Then again got a HP 2 in 1 X2 210 display model so wasn't great but does an ok job of living besides eh battery so I reworked the OS and customised how I wanted again after its eh battery shut down corrupted the OS of not careful. Compared to years ago when it was better then nowadays the state it's in. Had a Surface RT/Pro and yeah the Internet Explorer Metro was ok for the time I think limited but fair. Some apps and tools I used more than open source software. I got used to apps with Windows 8 era Desktop and Phone that's why I don't use apps on Android nowadays is like flash games or 2012 period RUclips I had my time getting used to things and use only what I need now. The limits of the store didn't bother me like it did most. I don't care for it nowadays on 10 but for a CD app or not Spotify or other types of apps it's great on Xbox then the limits PS4 has and no CD there. Had Netbooks with 7 and desktops with 8 during 2016 and before it was an interesting time. In a way while it wasn't Minecraft 1.6.4 to 1.7.2 (I hate that world algorithm changing update and almost felt the same with 1.16 as well or 1.18) comparable it in a way could have for me with Windows 8 to 10 then a 7 to 8. 8.1 besides the apps needing task manager to close which is odd and the the telemetry probably I like it more than 10. I still have the 8.1 disk and had no issues using Server 2012 R2 in study. It's odd at first but once you get used to things the presentation isn't half bad. I got used dto it with a Lumia 520 as well and prefer it to Android. I still have some icon issues or quality of life on Android then I do Windows phone. I mean the Xbox 360 has that tiles look of Windows 8 but none of the app snapping or other things of Windows 8like Xbox One 2013 had and we got bad OSs and social features since. I hate humanity for software ideas dropped for garbage social features. It's why tech gets worse is social garbage future and simplification.

Lament Island warning screen about use of microphone and camera make sense because game uses them as a part of a gameplay. For example if you picked up dusty book and want to read a title, you need to blow in to the microphone to remove dust. Or if you picked up a camera film and wanted to see a what on it you had to point a camera towards bright lamp or a window in real life. At that time this game had very cool mechanics and graphics.
